We use essential cookies for sign-in and security. Optional analytics and advertising cookies may be used only when those features are enabled and, where required, after you give consent.
1. Essential cookies
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
map_platform_session |
Keeps you signed in via Rocket’s signed private cookie jar. Production builds ship it as HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Strict (debug builds loosen SameSite for local tooling). | Until logout |
map_platform_csrf |
Stores a randomly generated token echoed on mutating requests. Not HTTP-only (page scripts/staging headers read it deliberately). SameSite/Secure mirrors the session defaults. | Session length |
rpgme_consent_v1 |
Stores your cookie preferences locally in the browser so optional analytics and advertising scripts can respect your choice. | Until cleared or changed |
2. Analytics cookies
The app has first-party funnel analytics, and may load Google Analytics only when a measurement ID is configured and analytics consent is granted. Analytics helps us understand aggregate product and conversion behavior, improve reliability, and prioritize documentation. The current public template does not load Microsoft Clarity. You can turn analytics off in Cookie Settings.
3. Advertising cookies
RPG Map Editor may display Google AdSense or other third-party ads on selected public information pages. Advertising cookies may be used to serve ads, measure ad performance, limit repetitive ads, personalize ads where permitted, and prevent abuse. Advertising cookies are not required to use the editor or your account.
Advertising cookies load only when ads are enabled, the route is allowed for ads, and your consent permits ads where consent is required. We do not place ads on the editor, account, checkout, billing, authentication, legal, contact, pricing, homepage, or forum pages.
4. Third-party cookies
Third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, payment providers, or embedded platform features may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when the related feature is active. Those providers process data under their own policies.
5. Consent and preference cookies
Cookie preferences are stored in your browser as a local preference so the site can remember whether analytics and advertising are allowed. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
6. Disabling cookies
The session cookie is required to use the editor. If you disable it, you will not be able to sign in.

8. Third-party names
