Welcome to RPG Map Editor. By accessing or using the editor, website, or API (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Your account
You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials safe, and notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
2. Your content
You own the maps, uploads, text, and other content you create with the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, back up, process, and serve Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, debug, and support the Service.
You are responsible for making sure you have the rights to any content you upload, import, or include in maps you publish or redistribute.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to break the law, harass others, upload content you do not have the right to share, or attempt to disrupt the infrastructure (scraping, brute-force, DoS, malware, etc.).
4. Plans and billing
Paid plans, when available, show their price and billing interval before checkout. Studio is a monthly auto-renewing subscription processed through Stripe until you cancel from Account or Stripe Customer Portal. See our Refund Policy for refund and cancellation details.
5. Offline Edition licence (one-time desktop purchase)
The Offline Edition is sold separately for €14.99 once, including applicable tax, for one active device. Its installed core editor works indefinitely offline after activation, without a subscription, renewal or licence refresh. This is the wording you accept when you buy it, and the wording stored with your purchase confirmation:
RPGMapEditor Offline Edition costs EUR 14.99 once, including applicable tax. The purchased core editor license is perpetual, covers one active computer, and requires no subscription, renewal, expiry or periodic online check. Windows 10/11 x64 and Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 x86_64 are the release platforms. After a one-time activation the installed editor runs indefinitely offline. Maps, imported artwork and exports stay on your own disk; cloud sync and public sharing belong to the separate Online Edition. Moving to a new computer is free: sign in online, activate the replacement and stop using the previous installation. New installers are published to your account at no charge, and your existing copy keeps working if you never update. The purchase does not include a cloud subscription or a promise of all future major versions. After a refund you must stop using the refunded software; disconnected installations cannot be remotely disabled. Your maps remain yours. Bundled artwork use follows the included asset licences. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies for faulty or nonconforming software remain unaffected.
Your download is a digital product, so instant delivery and the withdrawal position are explained in the Refund Policy. That policy, this section and the purchase confirmation you receive together are the contract for the purchase.
Studio unlocks product features such as unlimited saved maps and public share links. It does not grant commercial rights to third-party bundled assets unless those rights are explicitly stated in the Credits or a separate written agreement. Do not sell or redistribute maps that depend on assets you are not licensed to use commercially.
6. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
7. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Third-party names and trademarks
RPG Map Editor is an independent software tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons, Roll20, Foundry Gaming, Microsoft, or any other third-party platform. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. References to third-party platforms describe compatible workflows, such as PNG handoff, and do not imply official integration unless explicitly stated.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site and via email before they take effect.
