Common questions

Yes. Free includes core editor tools, up to three saved maps, PNG export, and moderated forum access. You do not need a card until you choose to upgrade to Studio.
Free accounts can save up to three active maps. Older maps may remain visible in a read-only state when you are over the cap; editing unlocks again when you upgrade to Studio, or you can delete drafts you no longer need.
Yes. PNG export is included on Free. Always verify grid size and alignment inside your virtual tabletop after import.
When Stripe billing is configured for this site, Studio checkout runs in the app: sign in, pick Studio on this page, and Stripe Checkout opens in the browser. The exact monthly amount comes from your Stripe Price. If checkout is not wired up yet, stay on Free—your maps remain in your account.
The Studio amount shown here is loaded from billing configuration (Stripe). Grandfathering and future changes will be announced on What’s New and this page if limits or prices move.
Personal and table use are straightforward. For resale, publishing, or bundled commercial distribution, we are publishing clearer license language before promising a commercial tier—see the FAQ page for the latest statement.
Yes—that is the primary use case. Export PNG snapshots and bring them into your virtual tabletop or print workflow. Respect any third-party asset licenses bundled with stamps you use inside the editor.
Yes. Open the editor from a modern desktop browser with WebGL2; your maps sync to your account without installing a separate desktop client.
No native install is required for the cloud editor. You still need a capable desktop browser session (keyboard + GPU). Mobile remains unsupported for serious prep.
Yes—PNG export is built for import into common virtual tabletops. Always match grid size and alignment inside your platform; every VTT handles pixels slightly differently.
Free accounts cap at three saved maps. Older maps stay visible in read-only fashion while you are over the cap; editing everything unlocks again when you upgrade to Studio—or delete maps you no longer need.
Yes. With an active Studio subscription, cancel or change renewal from Account → billing (Stripe Customer Portal). Free accounts have no subscription to cancel.
Maps you create stay in your account while the service is available. If you cancel or downgrade from Studio, Studio-only features (such as public share links and saving beyond the Free map cap) stop according to the subscription period end, but we do not delete your maps automatically—see Account and the terms in effect at that time.
