Free procedural generators

Fantasy Map Generators

Generate a city, a region or a dungeon from a seed in your browser — free, with no account. City and world maps then open in RPG Map Editor as layers you can edit tile by tile.

Seeds, not random dice

Every generator here is deterministic. A seed — any word or number — plus the settings you pick always produce exactly the same map, on any computer. Write the seed in your campaign notes and you can always get the original back, or share it with a co-GM.

Generation runs locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and you do not need an account to generate or download.

From generator to editor

City and world maps open in RPG Map Editor as ordinary projects: separate tile layers for ground, buildings, trees, walls, rivers and lettering, plus places and landmarks as editable objects. From there you paint, erase and rename like any hand-made map, then export a PNG, a project file or a game-engine starter.

The dungeon generator is a separate 3D tool; it exports PNG and JSON rather than editor layers.

Generate the start. Make the rest yours.

Open any city or world in RPG Map Editor as tile layers you can paint, rename and export.
